JOB STATEMENT
Develop capital equipment & systems sales opportunities .
Develop value add customer relationships, all sales related aspects including proposal preparation, discussions and finalization of agreements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Calls on customers such as Mining companies, cement companies, ports, mines contractors and engineering houses and attempts to convince prospective clients of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.
Develops and prepares quotations, estimates or projected increases in equipment sales.
Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation and maintenance of equipment.
Draws up sales or service contract for products or services.
Advises customer on types of equipment to purchase, considering such factors as costs, space availability and intended use.
Reviews articles in trade publications to keep abreast of industry developments.
Resolves customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies and services.
Provides sales forecasting for assigned customer base and sets performance goals accordingly.
Maintains close relationships with customers to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Essential
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
