JOB STATEMENT

 

This position is responsible for Design and detailed Engineering of Mill lining systems, screening media, Moulds and tooling development. For Rubber plant.

 

 

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Responsible for Design and engineering of Mill lining and screening media solutions including design of components like dischargers, grate plates, lifter bar, shell plate, head plate, trunions and centre covers.
• Responsible development of moulds and other tools used in the rubber plant.
• Engineering of - customer order from pre contract to final Delivery and product performance follow-up.
• Technical support to manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Aftermarkets etc.
• Standard Product maintenance, Up to date keeping of records, likes drawings, BOMs, standards, implementation of ECNS.
• Project management-Keep all relevant records and apprise management regarding the status of projects and developments.
• Leading the development projects and meeting the Quality, cost and delivery.

 

RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY

 

• Report directly to the Manager – Product development
• Support the following staff with the dissemination of information
-    Sourcing, Quality, manufacturing, planning
-    Project Managers
-    Guide the designer for best engineering practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

• BE (Mechanical) with 6-8yrs experience in Design. & Engineering. 
• 3-4 years of Hands on experience in manufacturing of Die and moulds used in Rubber plants.
• Knowledge of 3D &2D Software's like Inventor and AutoCAD is must(min. 2-3 years)
• Previous working experience in ERP (SAP) environment would be an advantage.

 

 

 

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

• A high level of computer skills is essential – Ms Excel, Word and Lotus Notes. Auto CAD, Inventor.
• Analytical capability and ability to interpret 2 D drawings.
• Knowledge of  common material  , machining and fabrication processes
• Highly motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

 

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 

• Team player
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work on multiple projects and lead the development project s in CFT's

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

This position is predominately situated in an office environment and workshops, although travel to vendors and customers will be necessary.
